Main interest in materials for electrochemistry, in particular for solid oxide fuel cells and high temperature electrolysers.

Graduated in Chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry) at the University of Zaragoza (2001). Researcher at the Chemistry Department of the Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, U. K., 2001) with Prof. A.J. Welch. Ph.D. in Science (Cum Laude) in 2005 with Prof. VM Orera and A Larrea. Research Associate at the Department of Materials (Imperial College London), with Prof. JA Kilner and Prof. SJ Skinner (2006-2009). Researcher at ICMA from 2009. Guest Lecturer at Universidad de Zaragoza (“Máster en Física y Tecnologías físicas” from 2011-2017, and “European Master in Renewable Energy" in 2012). Invited lecturer in 2013 (Course “Introducción a la química de los materiales”) and 2015 (Course “Introdución a la química de estado sólido") in Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE, Santiago de Chile). Supervision of 12 BSc, 6 MSc student projects and 4 PhD thesis. Participation in 25 research projects, 6 of them as PI, as well as 5 industrial contracts. Co-author of one licensed patent and one transfer of know-how with Saint-Gobain CREE. Co-author of 64 SCI papers, 2 invited reviews, three book chapters (Wiley, Elsevier, RSC) and 44 other publications. Co-author more than 140 communication in conferences, including 31 invited talks. Editorial board member of “Journal of Ceramics”, "Heliyon", “Frontiers in Energy Research: Fuel Cells” and "Coatings". h index = 22, >2000 citations. Updated September 2019.
